FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What kind of payment do you accept?
At the moment, we can only accept cash or travellers checks, payable at the beginning of the tour.  As we expand and grow, we may be able to handle credit card payments but we are not currently equipped for that.

What happens during inclement weather?
Come be brave souls with me.  If it rains, we bring an umbrella.  If it's cold we'll wear coats.  If it's hot... well, a little sweat never hurt anyone.  If the weather is so horrendous that there's a weather advisory or other extreme conditions, we may reconsider.  But if we're talking about a few raindrops or snowflakes, we're tougher than that!

What is your cancellation policy?
We appreciate 48 hours notice for a cancelled tour and we will make every effort to offer you the same.  If you have a flat tire on the New Jersey Turnpike or you suddenly got rushed to the hospital, we will respectfully understand.  Otherwise, let's just say that tour guides who get stood up tend to share that experience with their colleagues.

Do you expect tips?
Tipping is voluntary.  Tour guides offer a service and, as is customary in the service industry, tips are never required but always appreciated and taken as a compliment.

Are all neighborhoods on your tours safe?
Yes.  My first rule is that dead tourists don't tip.  Therefore, I insist on walking you through well-lit well-populated neighborhoods.  Of course, no neighborhood in a major city is completely safe.  But we will exercise good judgment and common sense.  No dark alleyways, no walking alone.  The basics that apply to any metropolis.

In how many languages do you give your tours?
Alas, like so many Americans, I am monolingual.  That said, my command of the English language is excellent and I will work with you to make sure I am clear and understood.
